Pfieffer Invitational :)

This past weekend the Montreat College Volleyball Team played at Pfieffer University in Charlotte, NC. We played three teams: Pfieffer, Queens, and North Greenville. First, we played North Greenville University and we beat them in 4 out of 5 sets on Friday. On Saturday our first game was against Queens and we beat them in the first 3 sets. Our final game was played against Pfieffer and we beat them in the first 3 sets as well.  So this was a very successful weekend for the team!!! It was nice to compete at the NCAA Division 2 level and come home with a sweep. There is still a lot of room for improvement for the team which is very promising for the rest of the season. So we will just have to wait and see :)

KiNg CoLleGe

Yesterday, the Montreat College Volleyball team played King College. The game was at King College. We started off the game up by about 10. However, after that we slowly started to decline. It was not a good game on Montreat Colleges side of the game. The team is trying to gain confidence and reach the potential. We lost in three straight cames which was a dissapointment to us all. Hopefully, in the upcoming weekend we will find the heart and energy that has been missing these last few games. We have the Pfeiffer University Invitational. The hopes are high for this upcoming weekend so I wil update you after this weekend.

:) Hi :)

Hello! My name is Alyssa Kaufman and I am an outside hitter for the Montreat College Volleyball Team. Let me tell you about myself. I am from  Kaukauna, Wisconsin and am in my second year at Montreat College. I love being apart of the team because we are all so close to eachother, almost like a sisterhood. The season started on August 17th with a full week of pre-season,which is always intense but it has to be to prepare us for the season that is about to begin. About two weeks into season I landed on anther girls foot spraining the inside and outside of my ankle during a Monday night practice. It has been two weeks since I sprained my ankle and I am still out of the game. However, I am at every game and practice supporting the team so I am going to keep you all updated with how the 2010 season for Montreat College Volleyball plays out!!
